We are committed to environmentally friendly practices in all areas of our hotel. We utilize eco-friendly trays in all areas to minimize our environmental footprint. When selecting goods and raw materials, we prefer packaging that can be reused or recycled, but without affecting the comfort of our guests.
We change towels in the rooms every third day, unless guests request otherwise. We do our own laundry and, if the weather permits, dry it outside. Via a mobile app, guests have the option to opt out of routine room cleaning on certain days, so that they can take an active role in reducing the negative impact on the environment.
Our Eco Hotel has its own water management and does not burden the surrounding nature. Our employees are trained to save water.
Where possible, we use energy saving light bulbs. The lights in the corridors and courtyard are switched off automatically. Hotel staff is trained to save electricity.
We sort our waste carefully. We take care of taking the sorted waste directly to the waste collection yard ourselves. We do not throw away food scraps, they are taken from us by local neighbours for their chickens, sheep or cattle.
For normal heating we use very efficient gas boilers. In cold weather we heat the premises of the Trojanovice Restaurant with a biomass fireplace. Individual rooms and hotel rooms can be heated separately.
In winter, with a few exceptions, we shovel the snow on the hotel premises by ourselves without the use of equipment.
Most of our employees walk to work or come by bike.
As an Eco Hotel, we try to import as many ingredients as possible from local suppliers.
Our cat Mikeš is in charge of keeping rodents at bay. We do not use rat poison.
